The objective of the WIG meeting is to advance international collaboration in childhood and adolescent blood and marrow transplantation (BMT) by bringing together key North American and European cooperative groups. Specifically, the meeting aims to:

Build international consensus on best practices in pediatric and adolescent BMT care and clinical trials.

Develop and execute collaborative international projects, including meta-analyses of large databases, to help establish and refine global clinical practice standards.

Design and promote international clinical trials in childhood and adolescent BMT to improve outcomes worldwide.
Overall, the WIG meeting serves as a unique global forum to align priorities, share progress, and strengthen cross-continental collaboration among leading pediatric BMT experts.
