Dr. Helena Yu, Rady's Children's Hospital- San Diego, CA.


Establishing Biomarkers of Stem Cell Fitness to Improve Transplant Outcomes for Pediatric Patients


Dr. Helena Yu is an associate physician at the UC San Diego School of Medicine in the division of pediatric hematology/oncology.  Her laboratory research focuses on regulation of protein homeostasis during hematopoietic stem cell development and biomarkers of stem hematopoietic stem cell fitness.  She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Chicago.  She attended medical school at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and completed pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.  She completed pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at UCSD/Rady Children's Hospital.
