Supportive Care Group

The Supportive Care Strategy Group (SCSG) focuses on the better standardization of supportive care practices.

 

May lead to improved results / interpretability of other therapeutic trials, where supportive care guidelines are often listed as: “Per institutional practices”

  • Viral Pathogens: CMX-001

  • Young Children: TBI & Neurocognitive Outcomes

  • Prospective Neurocognitive Evaluation

  • Skeletal Toxicity

  • Need to better define the field of late effects following HCT for children

 

Types of studies from the SCSG will include:

  • PTCTC Core Trials

  • Partnership Trials

  • Facilitated Trials

 

All trials must undergo Scientific Review and final approval by the Executive Committee. Successful trials need:

  • Strong interest from the community

  • Dedicated committee members

  • Appropriate reimbursement
